Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Brent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Bryan Fury!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Brent.
Fury throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brent closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Brent tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fury swivels and escapes.
Brent shoots in and drives through. Fury sprawls well.
Fury throws a sloppy head kick and Brent moves out of range easily.
Brent looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Brent. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fury throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fury misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fury throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Brent's head.
It looks like Dave Brent has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fury tries a head kick but it misses.
Fury tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Brent takes a swing at Fury's ribcage but misses.
Fury lands a nice hook to Brent's body. Brent takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fury misses with a body shot.
Brent misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fury connects with a right hand. Brent shakes it off.
Bryan Fury is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A jab from Brent does it's job there.
Fury lands with an overhand left.
Nice takedown defense from Fury. No joy for Brent on that attempt.
Fury thows a body shot but no joy.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Fury! Brent is out on his feet! Fury rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Brent is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Brent is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bryan Fury!
