Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Parking Ticket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Sliva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Matt Sliva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ticket takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Horrible takedown by Sliva or perhaps it was just good defense by Ticket which made him look bad. Ticket blocks a head kick by Sliva.
Sliva goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ticket throws a looping overhand right but Sliva ducks down to avoid it. Sliva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ticket. Ticket's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sliva under the eye. Sliva blocks a leg kick. Sliva checks a low kick from Ticket. Sliva throws a series of strikes that have Ticket backpedaling.
Sliva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ticket.
Sliva moves out of range as Ticket strikes. Sliva throws a series of punches but Ticket avoids them all with ease. The fighters circling - Ticket throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Sliva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ticket but Ticket pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ticket lands with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sliva misses with a few strikes there.
Ticket connects with a crisp jab. Matt Sliva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ticket wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sliva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sliva lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A looping hook to the body misses from Ticket. Sliva does a little dance to reset his feet. Sliva takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ticket misses with a hook. Ticket thows a body kick. Sliva tries to catch it but that hurt him. Sliva moves out of range of the body kick. Ticket connects with a nice looking jab.
Sliva throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sliva scores with a head kick.
Ticket scores with a punch to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ticket misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ticket walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sliva checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Sliva misses with a body punch
and Ticket counters with a right hand to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ticket ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Sliva looks to land a combination but Ticket avoids it well. Ticket loads up on a big right hand but Sliva slips the punch. Sliva moves out of range of the body kick from Ticket.
Ticket throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ticket is breathing heavily. Sliva moves out of range as Ticket strikes. Nice shot lands for Ticket. Parking Ticket is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ticket misses with a leg kick and Sliva counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Ticket looks to land a body kick but Sliva moved away. Sliva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ticket is fending him off so far but Sliva persists. Nope, Ticket circles away and we're back to standing. Parking Ticket has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Sliva. Sliva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ticket as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ticket misses with a body shot.
Ticket scores with a hook to the body. Sliva takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Sliva bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sliva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Ticket takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Sliva wants to control but Ticket is keeping him busy. Sliva scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ticket to see if he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sliva has an Americana. Ticket didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sliva is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sliva hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Matt Sliva!
