Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aron Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Ricard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricard has chosen Frank The Tank as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Aron Rogers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ricard moves into the clinch. Ricard is trying to break the clinch but Rogers has him pressed against the ropes. Ricard has had enough of the clinch but Rogers keeps him there for the moment. Ricard avoiding damage as Rogers throws knees to the body.
Ricard tries to break the clinch but Rogers is controlling the position. Rogers utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Rogers has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ricard avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Rogers gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Frank Ricard has been cut. Rogers keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ricard's efforts to push away. Ricard tries to circle away but Rogers has him pinned against the ropes. Ricard breaks from the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action! Ricard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ricard throws a hook but Rogers blocks it. Rogers shoots in looking for a takedown but Ricard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rogers's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rogers tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Ricard manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rogers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ricard swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aron Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers misses with a takedown attempt - Ricard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rogers misses with a low kick.
Ricard is looking to chop away at Rogers's legs. Ricard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ricard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ricard fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rogers sprawls well initially but Ricard persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ricard sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rogers defending well though. Rogers blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ricard. Rogers pushes Ricard off looking to stand but Ricard dives back in and keeps control.
Ricard is looking to take a break and control but Rogers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ricard tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Ricard thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ricard winds up and cracks Rogers with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ricard not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ricard lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Rogers avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ricard. Rogers is breathing heavily. Ricard keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Ricard. Ricard controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ricard stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ricard fails to land the takedown. Ricard throws a series of punches but Rogers avoids them all with ease. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ricard is defended easily by Rogers.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ricard as he jumps to the side. Rogers moves out of range of the strikes. Ricard lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ricard lands with a straight right. Rogers didn't see that one coming. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A clash of legs there as Ricard blocks the low kick. Rogers circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ricard throws a left that rocks Rogers and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ricard dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Rogers regain composure!
It looks like Aron Rogers has been cut. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ricard in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ricard scores with a couple of short elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Ricard dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ricard misses with a double jab.
Rogers lands a glancing blow to the side of Ricard's head. Rogers throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Ricard checks the leg kick nicely there.
Frank Ricard seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ricard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ricard misses with a two punch combination.
Rogers slips a jab and a cross from Ricard.
Ricard shoots in looking for a takedown. Rogers tries to sprawl out of it but Ricard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Rogers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ricard throws a head kick that misses. Ricard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ricard fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers scores with a shot to the body.
Ricard is breathing heavily. Nice takedown defense from Rogers. No joy for Ricard on that attempt. Rogers feints and as Ricard raises his hands in defense, Rogers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ricard looking to control.
Ricard is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Ricard looking for a guillotine here but Rogers defends easily.
Rogers is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Ricard throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Rogers throwing strikes from guard but Ricard blocks nicely. Rogers postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rogers landing with the ground and pound. Rogers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ricard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rogers won't allow Ricard to get back to his feet. Ricard has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ricard kicks Rogers off and gets to his feet. Rogers gets the takedown into side control. Ricard is looking to regain half guard here but Rogers keeps moving and retains side control. Ricard taking a bit of punishment here - Rogers scoring with strikes. Ricard is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Rogers cracks Ricard with a big right hand but Ricard just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Ricard is rocked!
That has opened up Frank Ricard's cut even more. Rogers is chipping away with strikes.
Ricard is still in real trouble! Can Rogers finish him? Ricard misses with a strike from the bottom. Rogers lands a strong strike to the head of Ricard. That's dazed him! Rogers looking to finish here. Ricard is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Rogers lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
