Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randy Saxon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesse James!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James is looking to clinch but Saxon is avoiding it.

Saxon closes the distance and pushes James back into the ropes.
Saxon is trying to pull guard but James has him pressed against the ropes.

Saxon pulls James into guard.
Saxon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Saxon is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Saxon keeping full guard, as James tries to pass.

Saxon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. James gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Saxon wants to sweep but no luck.
Saxon keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.
James throws and elbow that misses. Saxon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Saxon!

That's one minute gone in the round.
James wants to get back to his feet but Saxon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Saxon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Saxon forces his way into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

James actively working from the bottom here.
Saxon wants to stand up but James is controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saxon is controlling the pace.
James is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Saxon moves nicely into side control.
Saxon is putting a hurting on James here, landing some big shots from side control.

James tries to improve position but can't.

Saxon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Saxon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Saxon stands up and beckons James to his feet.

Saxon takes the fight into the clinch.

Saxon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Saxon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Saxon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Saxon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Saxon lands in his opponent's guard.
James is trying to keep Saxon in close.
James is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Saxon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
James looking to sit in guard and control but Saxon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Saxon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Saxon dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Saxon's head and hops out.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from James.

James looks like he's trying to stand up.
Saxon sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Saxon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Saxon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Saxon content to control rather than advance.
Saxon is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

James wants to control but Saxon is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Saxon controlling the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Randy Saxon just wasn't active enough.
James is looking to clinch.
Saxon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. James tries to avoid it but Saxon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James to the ground. James escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
James slaps away a takedown attempt from Saxon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Saxon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Saxon gets a double leg takedown into James's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Saxon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
James throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Saxon dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Saxon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Good standup being displayed there by James as he connects with a hook.
James tries to clinch up.
James throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Saxon circles away quickly and effectively.

Saxon closes the distance and clinches.

Saxon breaks from the clinch.
James scores with a one two! Saxon had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Randy Saxon has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saxon keeps the fight on the outside.
James tries to close the distance and clinch but Saxon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saxon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
James swinging wildly here.
Randy Saxon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

James gets tackled into the ropes by Saxon. Saxon maintains the clinch.

Saxon breaks the clinch.
James throws a left and a right that both miss
and Saxon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
James throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Saxon drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saxon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Saxon got a little sloppy there for a moment and James has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Saxon has managed to get both his arms back between James's legs - danger averted.
Saxon stands and throws James's legs to the side, diving into side control.
James can't do much from the bottom here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
James is trying to get back to half guard.

Saxon happy to just control the position for now.
James manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
James not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Saxon kicks James off and gets back to his feet.

Saxon moves into range and clinches up with James.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Saxon gets control of James's arms and successfully pulls guard. Saxon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

James tries to stand but Saxon is controlling from the bottom.
James wants to control from the top but Saxon keeps moving.
Saxon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Saxon is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James trying to control the position from guard on top but Saxon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Saxon on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Saxon tries to get out of the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jesse James hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Saxon scores a takedown into full mount!

And that's the end of the fight!
Randy Saxon showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Saxon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
