Oliveira shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Maynard eats them both and turns towards Oliveira to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maynard jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oliveira walks away with a smile on his face. Maynard gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Maynard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oliveira swivels and escapes.

Maynard is rocked!
Oliveira is pawing at Maynard, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Maynard's nose. Maynard is badly hurt! Oliveira pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Maynard tries desperately to hold on but Oliveira is relentless in his assault! As Maynard receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Oliveira away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dustin Oliveira!
Dustin Oliveira opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
