Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hrektik Hyol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcel Kern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hrektik Hyol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcel Kern! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kern shoots and misses and Hyol counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That kick from Kern tenderised Hyol's leg. Hyol is trying to keep his angry face on. Kern lands a high kick!
Kern wants to clinch up but Hyol keeps it at a distance. Kern gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hyol to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hyol trying to control the position from guard on top but Kern is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kern doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kern wants to sweep but no luck. Kern controls Hyol momentarily but Hyol frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kern throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kern working a defensive guard but Hyol manages to pass into side control anyway.
Kern is looking to reverse the position. Hyol wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kern keeps working. Hyol content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kern wants to control but Hyol postures up. Kern is looking to reverse the position. Kern takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hyol stands up and beckons Kern to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hyol scores a takedown into full mount! Hyol looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Kern tries to reverse the position but Hyol maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hyol cracks Kern with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Kern tries to hold on but Hyol pushes him away. Hyol content just to control the position here. Kern really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Hyol swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kern is now in Hyol's guard. A big mistake from Hyol there, giving up the dominant position! Hyol is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hyol trying to control the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Kern not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hrektik Hyol. Kern lands with a nice body punch. Kern moves in looking to clinch but Hyol pushes him off. Kern shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hyol as he jumps to the side. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Left hook, right uppercut from Hyol. Kern tries to clinch but Hyol is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hrektik Hyol dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kern fakes the leg kick and cracks Hyol in the body. Hyol feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kern looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hyol with a nice head shot there. Kern is looking for a triangle but Hyol pushes his legs off easily.

Hyol is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kern manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kern misses with a head shot. Kern can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hyol is looking to escape. Kern has control of Hyol's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hyol regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hyol wants to control but Kern is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kern wants to control the pace but Hyol is squirming around nicely. Hyol is desperately trying to improve his position but Kern has a good base and remains in mount. Kern throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Hyol takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Kern controlling from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kern prevents Hyol from getting the reversal. Hyol has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Hrektik Hyol overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hyol trying to control the action but Kern just sinks the hooks in. Hyol defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kern is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hyol knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hyol for a finish. Hyol is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kern gets his way!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hyol manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kern's guard. Nice work there by Hyol.
Kern keeping moving, preventing Hyol from controlling successfully. Kern looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hyol is one step ahead there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kern being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Marcel Kern will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

It looks like Marcel Kern has been cut. Hyol looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hyol is looking to pass Kern's guard but actually Kern recovers to full guard. Hyol wants to get up but he can't break Kern's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Hyol trying to control the position from guard on top but Kern is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hyol postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kern is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hyol is controlling him. Hyol stands up from Kern's guard - Hyol perhaps looking for a knockout. Kern with a lazy takedown attempt and Hyol counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hyol. Hyol trying to control the position from guard on top but Kern is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hrektik Hyol has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hyol scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hyol is trying to control. Kern wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kern wants to control but Hyol passes into side.
Hyol scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kern to see if he's OK. Kern tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hyol in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hyol stands up and beckons Kern to his feet. Hyol shoots in looking for a takedown. Kern tries to sprawl out of it but Hyol keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kern manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hyol takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Hyol changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kern looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hyol is trying to move to mount but Kern reverses beautifully and ends up in Hyol's guard. Kern wants to pass the guard but Hyol is keeping the position. Hyol throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hyol is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hyol avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Hrektik Hyol showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hyol has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
