Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Gallagher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riel Dan Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gallagher throws a push kick but Reyes slaps the foot to one side. Sloppy strikes from Reyes. Those never looked like landing. Gallagher fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Reyes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gallagher. Gallagher throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Riel Dan Reyes has been cut. Gallagher leaves Reyes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gallagher swings for the body but Reyes moves out of range.
Gallagher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reyes manages to avoid it. Gallagher misses with a body shot.
Gallagher throws a right and a left that Reyes avoids nicely. Reyes looks to land a left hand but Gallagher moved out of range nicely. Reyes avoids the head kick by Gallagher.
No joy there for Gallagher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Reyes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Reyes dodges the punch combination from Gallagher.
Reyes shoots in for a double leg but Gallagher sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Frank Gallagher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riel Dan Reyes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gallagher misses with a body kick. Reyes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gallagher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gallagher misses with a body kick. Gallagher looks to throw the jab but Reyes is out of range. Reyes throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Reyes slips a jab and a cross from Gallagher.
Reyes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Reyes pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Gallagher is trying to stand up. Reyes working away from the top, dropping strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Reyes landing strikes from the mount and Gallagher is in trouble! Reyes lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gallagher wants to try and get back to his feet. Reyes lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Reyes trying to control but he's not successful this time. Reyes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gallagher's face.
Gallagher tries to buck Reyes off but he can't manage it. Reyes lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gallagher hang on? Reyes lands with some strikes. Reyes won't let Gallagher get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Gallagher taking shots to the head. Gallagher wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Gallagher on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gallagher tries to get out of the position. Gallagher is breathing heavily. Reyes putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Gallagher in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Reyes landing punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gallagher wants to try and get back to his feet. Reyes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Reyes with shots to the head and body - Gallagher looks very uncomfortable down there. Gallagher trying desperately to get to his feet.

Gallagher is rocked! Reyes loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gallagher scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Reyes land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Reyes stands and salutes the crowd.
