Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shizuka Uesugi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Uesugi.
Uesugi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Grazies gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Grazies has picked Uesugi up - he's going for a ride! Grazies dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Grazies wants to free his trapped foot but Uesugi is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Uesugi is looking to improve his position.
Uesugi is defending against the submission attempts here by Grazies.
Grazies is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Grazies is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Uesugi is just riding it out for now. Grazies eventually gives up the hold.

Uesugi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Grazies with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Uesugi winds up and cracks Grazies with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Grazies is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Uesugi pulls his head out easily.
Grazies keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shizuka Uesugi dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Grazies changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Uesugi tries to avoid it but Grazies manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Uesugi to the ground. Uesugi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Uesugi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Grazies checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Uesugi darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Grazies blocks a head kick by Uesugi.
Shizuka Uesugi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crunch! Uesugi slams his shin into Grazies's torso.
Uesugi throws out a leg kick but Grazies moves out of range and Uesugi only half commits.
Grazies shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Grazies was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Uesugi tries to hold on but Grazies pushes him away.
Grazies moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Uesugi has worked his arm free - good work by Uesugi!
Grazies is trying to get an arm triangle but Uesugi is defending well.
Grazies is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Uesugi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Uesugi is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Grazies is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Uesugi has managed to free his arm - good work.
Grazies wants to pass the guard but Uesugi is defending well.
Grazies is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Grazies wants to advance to full mount but Uesugi doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Grazies postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Uesugi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Grazies, into his guard.
Uesugi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Uesugi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Uesugi lands a couple of elbows.
Uesugi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Grazies has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Uesugi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Uesugi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Uesugi is nestled in close to Grazies, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
