Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Badr Ramsay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramsay comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Protect Ya Neck by Wu Tang Clan kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Carwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Badr Ramsay!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin swings for the body but Ramsay moves out of range.
Badr Ramsay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carwin misses with a wild body shot.
Ramsay misses with a takedown attempt - Carwin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Carwin just misses with a punch to the body.
Ramsay shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carwin as he avoids it easily.
Ramsay tries a head kick but it misses.
Ramsay shoots in for a double leg but Carwin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Shane Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Badr Ramsay.
Ramsay wants to clinch.
Carwin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ramsay moves away.
Ramsay throws a sloppy head kick and Carwin moves out of range easily.

Ramsay shoots in for a takedown but Carwin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ramsay tries to close the distance and clinch but Carwin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Ramsay wants to clinch up but Carwin keeps it at a distance.
Ramsay closes the distance and clinches up with Carwin, looking for a takedown. Ramsay pushes Carwin against the cage but Carwin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ramsay avoids the body shot from Carwin.
Ramsay fails with a takedown attempt.
Carwin swings for the body but Ramsay moves out of range.
Ramsay lands with a kick to the temple. Carwin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Shane Carwin has been cut.

Ramsay throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Ramsay rushes Carwin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Ramsay tries to clinch but Carwin is having none of it.

Carwin is looking to wear down Ramsay with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Carwin slaps away a takedown attempt from Ramsay, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ramsay takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Carwin throws a right hand that Ramsay ducks under and follows up with a left that Ramsay also avoids with ease.
Carwin looks to score with a jab to the body but Ramsay is just out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ramsay just misses with a elbow thrown towards Carwin's brow.

Carwin digs a right hand into Ramsay's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ramsay's gas tank.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shane Carwin will probably get the nod.

Carwin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ramsay closes the distance and pushes Carwin back into the cage.
Carwin is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ramsay is keeping busy.
Carwin can't find room to land a body shot as Ramsay controls the action.

Badr Ramsay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ramsay has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Carwin uses from the top position.

Ramsay pushes Carwin off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Carwin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Carwin blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Ramsay can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carwin controls the pace.

I think Ramsay has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
