Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tonying Legend (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drago kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is SuperBeast. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago avoids a punch combination nicely.
Legend tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Legend takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Drago throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Legend on the side of the head.
Drago circles away from the clinch attempt
and Drago counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Legend uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drago.
Drago connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Legend rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Drago moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Legend tries to close the distance and clinch up but Drago swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Legend throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Legend throws a looping overhand right but Drago ducks down to avoid it.
A big left from Legend misses.

Drago throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Legend moves out of range of the strikes.

and Drago counters with a three punch combo that has Legend backing up. Legend nods at Drago to acknowledge the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Legend feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dragos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Legend closes the distance but Drago moves to the side
letting Drago counter with a right hand.

Nice uppercut lands for Drago. That snapped Legend's head back.
Legend scoring well with a low kick there.
Drago looks to land a combination but Legend avoids it well.
Drago gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Legend tries to clinch but Drago is having none of it.
Drago avoids the head kick by Legend.
Tonying Legend seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drago throws the left hand but Legend avoids the punch easily.
Drago lands with a right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Drago lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Legend can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Drago and Legend drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Drago.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Drago!
Ivan Drago very nearly forgot to thank Springfield HW Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
