The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson throws a series of punches but Malone moves out of range.
Malone throws a head kick but Tyson moves out of range.
Tyson throws a series of punches but Malone avoids them all with ease.
Malone avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Tyson. No joy for Malone on that attempt.

Tyson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Malones jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

The fight stays on the outside here - Malone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Malone misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tyson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Malone doesn't seem bothered though.
Malone shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tyson but Tyson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zoey Malone. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tyson slaps away a takedown attempt from Malone, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tyson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Zoey Malone has been cut.
Malone shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tyson's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Malone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Malone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tyson wants to stand up but Malone is controlling him.

Malone slips a nice elbow through Tyson's hands, connecting with Tyson's forehead.

Malone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tyson's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyson wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Malone has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Tyson taps furiously! This one is all over!

Zoey Malone was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
