Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Rokafeller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by Cinderella Man By Eminem. Tony Rokafeller struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Rokafeller! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rokafeller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ryan manages to avoid it. Rokafeller looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Rokafeller lands a jab to Ryan's midsection. Rokafeller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nice sprawl there from Rokafeller as Ryan shoots in. Rokafeller tries for a takedown but Ryan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. No luck for Rokafeller with that takedown attempt. Daniel Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Rokafeller. Ryan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rokafeller as he avoids it easily. Ryan closes the distance and clinches up with Rokafeller, looking for a takedown. Ryan pushes Rokafeller against the cage but Rokafeller circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ryan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rokafeller is fending him off so far but Ryan persists. Nope, Rokafeller circles away and we're back to standing. Ryan gets a takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ryan tries to stand and escape but Rokafeller is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan wants to pass the guard but Rokafeller is defending well. Ryan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ryan seems to be working for a kimura but Rokafeller defends the submission attempt. Ryan is pressing down on Rokafeller's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rokafeller is holding on for now. Ryan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryan wants to work for an arm triangle but Rokafeller is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ryan stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Ryan shoots for a double leg takedown but Rokafeller sprawls well. He's pushed Ryan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sloppy strikes from Ryan. Those never looked like landing. A punch combination from Ryan misses. Rokafeller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ryan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rokafeller defends it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rokafeller tries to avoid it but Ryan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rokafeller to the ground. Rokafeller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rokafeller throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ryan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ryan looking to pass the guard. Ryan wants to stand but Rokafeller has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Ryan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rokafeller is keeping the position for now. Rokafeller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryan slips nicely into half guard. Ryan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ryan is looking for a kimura here.

Ryan feints and as Rokafeller raises his hands in defense, Ryan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ryan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ryan tries to free his leg and advance position but Rokafeller is retaining full guard. Ryan stands and throws Rokafeller's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ryan is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Rokafeller looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ryan gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Rokafeller is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ryan lets go of the hold and Rokafeller can pop his arm back in it's socket.
