Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Remy Mintusovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Gerken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mintusovich comes to the cage accompanied by Moonlite Sonota. Peter Gerken looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Remy Mintusovich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peter Gerken! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gerken shoots in looking for a takedown. Mintusovich tries to sprawl out of it but Gerken keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mintusovich manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mintusovich throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mintusovich throws a right and a left that both miss. Gerken misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gerken drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gerken lands a couple of decent looking shots. Gerken postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Mintusovich looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gerken is one step ahead there. Gerken keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mintusovich's head. Gerken with a flurry of punches that miss. Gerken throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gerken lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mintusovich keeping full guard, as Gerken tries to pass. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mintusovich scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Mintusovich looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mintusovich throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gerken.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mintusovich tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gerken paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gerken has a takedown stuffed. Remy Mintusovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Gerken. Gerken closes the distance and clinches up with Mintusovich, looking for a takedown. Gerken pushes Mintusovich against the cage but Mintusovich circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Gerken looks gassed! Mintusovich throws a right and a left that both miss. Mintusovich looks to land a combination but Gerken avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mintusovich doesn't manage to clinch there - Gerken circles away.
Gerken fails to land the takedown. Gerken shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mintusovich moves into the clinch. Gerken trying to stall but Mintusovich improves his position.
Gerken should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Gerken goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mintusovich prevents it.
Mintusovich wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gerken keeps control of Mintusovich as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Gerken trying to stall but Mintusovich improves his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gerken is trying to trip Mintusovich. He has hold of a leg but Mintusovich is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Gerken persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Mintusovich wants to stand but Gerken is controlling the position. Gerken postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Gerken won't allow Mintusovich to get back to his feet. Mintusovich working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gerken. Gerken throws a big right hand that misses. Mintusovich is looking to stand up but Gerken isn't so interested in that idea. Gerken has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mintusovich looking for a guillotine here but Gerken defends easily.
Mintusovich has momentary wrist control but Gerken slips an elbow through the middle.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mintusovich lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gerken's sensitive parts. Mintusovich goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Mintusovich fails to land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Peter Gerken will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Mintusovich tries to clinch there but Gerken circles away.
Mintusovich paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A solid body kick from Mintusovich. No luck for Gerken with that takedown attempt. Mintusovich throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gerken looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gerken lands strikes from half guard. Mintusovich tries to kick Gerken off but Gerken keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gerken looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mintusovich with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Gerken takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Gerken seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Mintusovich is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gerken scores with a couple of nice shots. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gerken lands a nice short elbow. Mintusovich kicks Gerken off and gets back to his feet. Gerken misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mintusovich throws a series of strikes that have Gerken backpedaling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gerken fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Remy Mintusovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Gerken. Gerken shoots for a double leg takedown but Mintusovich sprawls well. He's pushed Gerken's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Gerken decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gerken working over Mintusovich with some ground and pound. Mintusovich looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gerken has eaten all the pies! Gerken tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mintusovich knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Ground and pound from Gerken.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gerken tries to pass to full mount but Mintusovich defends it. Gerken works his foot free and advances to mount. Gerken with a couple of short strikes. Mintusovich wants to try and get back to his feet. Mintusovich tries to reverse the position but Gerken maintains control. Gerken unloads with some shots from mount but Mintusovich bucks and avoids them well.
Mintusovich is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Mintusovich wants to get back to his feet.
Gerken misses with a head shot. Mintusovich tries to hold on but Gerken pushes him away. Gerken misses with a head shot. Mintusovich holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gerken tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Mintusovich regains half guard. Mintusovich avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gerken. Mintusovich wants to get back to his feet.
Gerken lands strikes from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gerken is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Mintusovich is rocked! Gerken lands a big elbow - Mintusovich is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Gerken!
