Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnett takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. James clinches up with Barnett and pushes him back against the cage. Barnett drops to a knee looking for a takedown but James gets the underhooks and prevents it.
James decides to pull guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Barnett has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of James is proving hard to escape from. James is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Barnett 's corner is telling him to maintain position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. James is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barnett is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. James has his hands on Barnett 's head, controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barnett stands and steps away. James gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. James fails with a takedown attempt. James tries to land a body kick and Barnett counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Barnett rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily. James leaves Barnett with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barnett forces James back against the cage and clinches. Barnett has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Barnett missing with knees to the body.
Barnett changes levels and goes for a takedown here. James fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Barnett . That's going to take a lot out of him. James closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Barnett is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barnett moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Barnett not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barnett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, James has managed to get both his arms back between Barnett 's legs - danger averted. James must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Barnett is controlling James's posture. James throwing strikes from guard but Barnett blocks nicely. Barnett throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Barnett looking for a sweep. Not yet Barnett , not yet. Barnett is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Barnett throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barnett looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Barnett has a closed guard, preventing James from standing up. Barnett tries to land a sweep but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barnett pulls James in close to prevent any damage. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Barnett keeping full guard, as James tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Fedor Barnett will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
James tries for a takedown but Barnett circles away easily so Barnett counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Barnett advances position into side control! James tries to bench press Barnett off him but Barnett keeps the position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Fedor Barnett overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Barnett decides to stand up, so the ref orders James to his feet. James dodges the punch combination from Barnett .
James tries to clinch up but Barnett circles away and keeps his distance. James shoots in looking for a takedown. Barnett tries to sprawl out of it but James keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barnett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. James is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnett tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but James swivels and escapes. Barnett tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center. Barnett closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming James to the mat! James manages to get full guard. James really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barnett . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barnett pushes down on James's leg and manages to get into half guard. Barnett could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Barnett is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! James is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Fedor Barnett !
