The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cherry's corner calls for a 1-2. Cherry obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Wilson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wilson throws a sloppy head kick and Cherry moves out of range easily.
A left and a right from Cherry both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Brian Wilson has been cut.
Wilson throws a leg kick which misses Cherry's front leg but catches the back leg as Cherry tries to avoid it.

Wilson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilson wants it to stay on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cherry has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wilson finds it's way round the side to connect with Cherry's head.

Wilson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Wilson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cherry has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Wilson closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Cherry! Wilson dives in looking to finish! Cherry is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
