Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Miklas Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Rainey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Miklas Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Rainey! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rainey leaves Miklas Jr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rainey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miklas Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rainey somewhat. Miklas Jr throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Miklas Jr misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rainey.
Miklas Jr shoots for a takedown but Rainey saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Miklas Jr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rainey. Rainey misses with the body kick and Miklas Jr counters with a head kick. That will keep Rainey thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Miklas Jr closes the distance and clinches. Rainey on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Rainey tries to score a body lock takedown but Miklas Jr shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rainey is pressed up against the cage. Miklas Jr has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rainey down to the mat. Rainey avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Rainey has managed to clinch.

Rainey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rainey. Miklas Jr gets caught flat footed, as Rainey shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Miklas Jr wants to sweep but no luck. Miklas Jr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Miklas Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rainey on the ground. Miklas Jr is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Rainey seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rainey throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Miklas Jr works some decent striking defense from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miklas Jr striking off his back but it's not causing Rainey any problems. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mark Miklas Jr will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Miklas Jr counters with a single leg into guard. Rainey didn't expect that. Rainey is looking for a triangle here but Miklas Jr uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Rainey throws Miklas Jr to one side and escapes! Rainey tries to land a front kick but Miklas Jr steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Miklas Jr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rainey is fending him off so far but Miklas Jr persists. Nope, Rainey circles away and we're back to standing. Miklas Jr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Miklas Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Miklas Jr will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Miklas Jr is defended easily by Rainey. Rainey works over Miklas Jr's head and body with a nice combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Miklas Jr gets tackled into the cage by Rainey. Rainey maintains the clinch. Miklas Jr prevents the takedown attempt.
Rainey jumps guard and drags Miklas Jr to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Miklas Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Rainey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rainey has a closed guard, preventing Miklas Jr from standing up. Rainey manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Miklas Jr manages to get himself to full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rainey darts in and clinches Miklas Jr up against the cage. Rainey is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Miklas Jr tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rainey is trying to break the clinch but Miklas Jr is controlling him. Miklas Jr wants to break the clinch but can't.
Chris Rainey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mark Miklas Jr is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Rainey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Miklas Jr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
