Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Walts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Les Germ! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Germ rushes Walts and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Germ wants the takedown. Walts is fighting it off but Germ persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Walts's guard against the cage. Walts controls Germ momentarily but Germ frees himself. Germ stands up and waves to Walts to follow him. Germ scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Walts tries to bench press Germ off him but Germ keeps the position. Walts trying to remain calm as Germ controls from the top position. Walts tries to bench press Germ off him but Germ keeps the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Germ has control of an arm but Walts manages to advance to Germ's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Germ rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Germ is looking to improve his position.
Germ tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Germ manages to escape and get back to his feet! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Germ. Walts shoots for a double leg takedown but Germ sprawls well. He's pushed Walts's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Germ scores a takedown into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walts tries to hold on but Germ postures up. Germ takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Germ lands a big elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Germ controlling the position easily from mount. Germ prevents Walts from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Germ moves to take his opponent's back. Walts tries to roll but Germ sticks to his back.
Germ has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walts trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Germ missing with strikes from the back. What can Walts do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Germ is looking for the choke from the back position but Walts is controlling his hands well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Walts tries to escape the position.
Germ lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Walts hold on?!

Germ looking to score a takedown here. Walts is defending well but Germ drives through and ends up in Walts's guard. Walts preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Germ stays in close to Walts's body and controls the position. Walts is pulling down on Germ's head. It's preventing any offense from Germ, at least for the moment. Germ looking to pass the guard. Germ decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Walts, up you get!

Walts misses with a takedown and Germ moves into the clinch. Germ wants the takedown. Walts is fighting it off but Germ persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Walts's guard against the cage. Germ is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Germ drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Walts manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Germ has Walts in his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walts trying to control but Germ is working from the bottom. Walts is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Germ scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
Walts pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Germ is keeping the position for now. Walts wants to control from the top but Germ keeps moving. Walts in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Germ seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Walts shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Germ as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Walts. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Germ pivots, looking for a leg kick but Walts is out of range and Germ settles back down. Walts fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Walts misses with a takedown and Germ counters with a nice double leg into side control. Walts won't be happy with that. This has been an exciting period of action! Germ stands up. Germ looking to score a takedown here. Walts is defending well but Germ drives through and ends up in Walts's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Germ stays in close to Walts's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Les Germ showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Germ shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Germ putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Germ controlling from the full mount. Germ moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Walts has worked his arm free - good work by Walts!

That's one minute gone in the round. Walts tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Germ easily slips into full mount! Germ scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Walts?
Germ postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Walts looks a forlorn figure.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Germ looking to finish Walts with some ground and pound. This is bad for Walts! Walts sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Germ is pressing down on Walts's thigh, looking to free his foot. Walts is holding on for now. Germ tries to stand and escape but Walts is controlling the position. Germ is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Walts trying to control but Germ postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Germ passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Walts! Germ sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Walts tries to lock up and control but Germ gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Germ lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Les Germ is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Les Germ comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Germ has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
