Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lev Lennin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Horse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lev Lennin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Crazy Horse!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horse misses with a low kick.
Lennin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Horse fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lennin manages to avoid it.
Horse throws a body punch but Lennin moves out of range.
Horse tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Horse throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lennin.
Horse lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lennin circles away quickly and effectively.
Lennin throws a low kick but Horse moves out of range easily.
Lennin shoots for a double leg takedown but Horse sprawls well. He's pushed Lennin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lennin shoots in for a takedown but Horse shows good takedown defense.
Some bone on bone action there as Horse checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Horse lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Horse.
Lennin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Lev Lennin has been cut.
Horse throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horse goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Lennin checks a low kick from Horse.
Lennin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Horse throws a low kick but Lennin moves out of range easily.
Horse throws a leg kick but Lennin sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Horse scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lennin doesn't seem bothered though.
Horse throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Horse misses with a jab, cross combination.

Lennin has closed the distance and engaged Horse in a clinch.

Lennin jumps guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Lennin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Horse gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lennin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Horse can do anything to dispel that myth.

Horse wants to improve his position but Lennin is controlling well.
Lennin controlling the action here.
Lennin wants to take a breather but Horse is having none of it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lennin works his way into side control.
Lennin trying to control the position but Horse is working away.
Lennin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Horse is looking for a sweep.
Lennin trying to control the action but Horse is working from the bottom.
Lennin tries to move into full mount but can't pass Horse's legs.
Horse wants to control but Lennin postures up.
Horse tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Lennin easily slips into full mount!
Lennin punching from mount but Horse doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Horse is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Horse looks gassed!
Lennin wants to control the pace but Horse is squirming around nicely.
Lennin throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lennin controlling his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Crazy Horse will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Lev Lennin's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Lennin walks into a stiff left hand from Horse.
Sloppy strikes from Lennin. Those never looked like landing.

Lennin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Horse avoids the elbow strike from Lennin, against the cage.
Horse tries to circle away but Lennin has him pinned against the cage.

Lennin gets control of Horse's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lennin will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lennin has a closed guard, preventing Horse from standing up.

Lennin working for a triangle but Horse defends it easily.

Horse trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Horse must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Horse is looking to stand up but Lennin won't let him.
Lennin has his hands on Horse's head, controlling the position.

Horse got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lennin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Horse has managed to get both his arms back between Lennin's legs - danger averted.
Lennin is trying to control the position but Horse postures up.

Horse wants to stand and escape but instead Lennin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Horse should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Horse looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lennin puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Horse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lennin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lennin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Lennin seems to be working for a kimura but Horse defends the submission attempt.
Horse tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Lennin has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Horse is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Horse blocking the ground and pound.
Lennin manages to capitalize on a mistake by Horse to take his back!
Horse rolls, trying to escape but Lennin keeps control of the position.
Horse is breathing heavily.

Lennin looking for the choke from the back.
Lennin misses with punches from the back.

Lennin is persistently looking for the submission but Horse is defending it well.
Horse trying to control the position but Lennin manages to sink in the hooks.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Lennin controlling the positon.

What can Horse do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Horse wants to slow Lennin down by chopping away at his legs.
Lennin tries to clinch up but Horse circles away and keeps his distance.
Lennin throws a leg kick but Horse sees it coming and moves out of range.
Lev Lennin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lennin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Horse tries to avoid it but Lennin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Horse to the ground. Horse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lennin clinches up with Horse and pushes him back against the cage.

Lennin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lennin throws a sloppy head kick and Horse moves out of range easily.
Horse lands with a nice body punch.
Horse moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lennin checks the leg kick nicely there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lennin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Horse as he jumps to the side.
Nice body punch from Horse.
Crazy Horse is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Horse looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Horse tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Horse stuns Lennin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A head kick misses from Horse.
Horse fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lennin checks it well.
Horse fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Horse throws a chopping leg kick but Lennin manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Horse tries a low kick but Lennin avoids it.
Horse tries to work over Lennin's front leg with a kick but Lennin checks it.

Horse lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Lennin needs to keep his hands up - Horse had a free shot at his head there.
Lennin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Horse sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lev Lennin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horse tries to bum rush Lennin with a series of wild strikes but Lennin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A head kick misses from Horse.
Horse lands a two punch combo.
Horse stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Horse wants it to stay on the feet.
Lennin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lennin looks to score with a jab to the body but Horse is just out of range.

Horse defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lennin.

Horse's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Horse duly obliges.
No luck for Lennin with that takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Horse as Lennin shoots in.

Horse wants to land a leg kick but Lennin is out of range.
Crazy Horse seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Horse digs a good body shot into Lennin's ribs.
Lennin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Horse manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lennin tries a head kick but it misses.

Lennin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Horse circles away.
Horse pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Horse attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Horse changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lennin dives in and grabs Horse's left leg, looking for a takedown. Horse pushes down on Lennin's head and hops out.
Horse throws a right and a left that Lennin avoids nicely.
Horse ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Horse misses with a looping right.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Horse displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lennin.

And that's the end of the fight!
Crazy Horse comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Horse has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
