Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Domnick Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuba Pedzich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Domnick Velasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kuba Pedzich! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pedzich shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Velasquez misses with a takedown attempt - Pedzich sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pedzich fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Velasquez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pedzich is trying to defend but Velasquez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Pedzich controlling the position well. Pedzich is looking for a sweep. Velasquez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Velasquez trying to control from half guard but Pedzich is working away. Velasquez wants to pass to mount but Pedzich is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pedzich tries to kick Velasquez off but Velasquez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Velasquez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Velasquez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Velasquez is thwarting Pedzich's attempts to control the position. Velasquez content to control rather than advance. Velasquez seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Velasquez with the ground and pound but Pedzich uses the opportunity to regain guard. Velasquez has gone for a leg lock! Pedzich slips out almost immediately though and dives into Velasquez's guard. Pedzich's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velasquez wants to get back to his feet but Pedzich passes into half guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Domnick Velasquez wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Pedzich clinches up with Velasquez and pushes him back against the cage. Pedzich jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pedzich thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Velasquez trying to control the position from guard on top but Pedzich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pedzich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Velasquez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pedzich bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Velasquez's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Velasquez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pedzich passes into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kuba Pedzich dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Velasquez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pedzich counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Velasquez's guard now. Pedzich avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kuba Pedzich. Pedzich looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Velasquez shoots in for a takedown but Pedzich shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Velasquez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Domnick Velasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pedzich swats away the attempt to clinch by Velasquez. Pedzich throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Velasquez was covering up waiting for the punch and Pedzich finishes the takedown easily into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Velasquez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pedzich passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pedzich in particular looking to stall. Velasquez is trying to maintain the position but Pedzich is very close to passing his half guard.

Pedzich shoots in but Velasquez avoids the takedown attempt easily. A kick lands to the mid section there for Velasquez. Domnick Velasquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pedzich shoots and misses and Velasquez counters with a head kick. Pedzich looks for a takedown but Velasquez sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kuba Pedzich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Velasquez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Velasquez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Velasquez misses with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Velasquez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pedzich fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Velasquez avoids it really well and circles away. Pedzich stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pedzich wants it to stay on the feet. Velasquez has his takedown stuffed and Pedzich decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Velasquez's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velasquez wants to control but Pedzich passes easily into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pedzich is controlling the pace.
Pedzich's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Pedzich winds up and cracks Velasquez with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Velasquez looking for submissions off his back. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pedzich in particular looking to stall. Kuba Pedzich has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velasquez pushes Pedzich off but Pedzich dives into side control.
A lull in the action here as Pedzich stalls from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pedzich prevents Velasquez from escaping the position. Pedzich lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Velasquez down.
Pedzich is staying tight to Velasquez's torso, preventing him from escaping.
And that's the end of the fight! Kuba Pedzich comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Pedzich winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
