Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elliot Ness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elliot Ness! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Noah Payne! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ness moves out of range as Payne strikes. Ness takes a body punch but keeps moving. Payne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ness was well out of range. Poor timing from Payne. Payne looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Ness slips a straight right by Payne. Payne ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A punch combination from Payne misses. A head kick misses from Payne. Payne throws a looping overhand right but Ness ducks down to avoid it. Payne lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Elliot Ness has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Payne misses with a low kick.
Ness uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Payne. Payne avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ness moves out of range of the leg kick from Payne.
That's one minute gone in the round. Payne attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Ness avoids the body shot from Payne.
A clash of legs there as Payne blocks the low kick. Payne takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Ness clobbers Payne with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Ness avoids the head kick by Payne.
Ness drops his hands momentarily and Payne takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Payne takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Payne throws a low kick, looking for Ness's leg but Ness calmly moves out of range. Payne throws a sloppy head kick and Ness moves out of range easily. Elliot Ness is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ness misses with a body shot.
Ness throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Payne scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ness misses the shot to the body. Payne throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ness connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Payne lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ness has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ness and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Ness keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Payne. Ness moves in looking to clinch but Payne pushes him off. A big left from Payne misses. Payne shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ness defends it nicely. Ness throws a body punch but Payne moves out of range. Good work by Ness as he checks the leg kick. Ness connects with a leg kick. Payne looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A decent looking cross lands there for Payne.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ness looks for the body kick but Payne saw that one coming. Ness misses with a jab, cross combination.
Payne lands a jab. Payne feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nesss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Payne with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ness to score with a decent uppercut. Ness avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Payne feints and as Ness raises his hands in defense, Payne changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Payne being controlled here momentarily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ness keeping moving, preventing Payne from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ness working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Payne has passed into half guard!
Ness knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Payne on the ground. Ness wants to sweep but Payne has passed to side control! Payne lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Ness has one of Payne's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Payne working the strikes but Ness uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Payne has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ness trying to control but Payne postures up.
Payne is looking for a kimura here.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Ness wants to get back to full guard. Payne missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Ness tries to get to full guard but Payne has control of the leg. Ness wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Payne throwing shots but Ness is blocking nicely. Payne wants to control but Ness is keeping him busy.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Ness has hold of Payne's hands but Payne slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Elliot Ness's cut is getting worse. Payne not landing any meaningful shots this time. Payne trying to pass the guard but Ness defending well. Ness wants to improve his position but Payne is controlling well.
Payne sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ness defending well though. Payne stops Ness from getting back to his feet.
Ness is trying to control but Payne passes into side control!
Ness struggling a bit here. Ness tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Payne easily slips into full mount!
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Payne punishing his opponent with strikes.
Jeez, Elliot Ness's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Elliot Ness's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
