Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guy Carllson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Guy Carllson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Daniels! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carllson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Daniels sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carllson somewhat. Carllson dives in and grabs Daniels's left leg, looking for a takedown. Daniels pushes down on Carllson's head and hops out. Danga de danga de dang - Carllson scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Jay Daniels has been cut. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Carllson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Daniels has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Daniels and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Carllson has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Guy Carllson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carllson shoots and misses and Daniels counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Daniels is looking to take a break and control but Carllson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Daniels is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carllson keeping hold of Daniels's head, controlling as best he can. Daniels throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Daniels is looking to take a break and control but Carllson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jay Daniels. Carllson shoots in but Daniels avoids the takedown attempt easily. Carllson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Daniels counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Carllson! Daniels with shots to the head and body - Carllson looks very uncomfortable down there. Daniels has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Carllson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Daniels trying to control but Carllson is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels wants to finish this one by submission but Carllson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Daniels. Carllson is squirming around, avoiding Daniels's attempts to control the action. Carllson doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Daniels throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Carllson really is a fat lump. Daniels tries to control but Carllson wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carllson has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Daniels's lack of action.
Daniels is taking a breather. Carllson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Daniels is trying to control the action in half guard but Carllson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Daniels is looking for a kimura but Carllson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Daniels to get the leverage. Carllson is trying to maintain the position but Daniels is very close to passing his half guard. Daniels is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Carllson sees it coming and defends easily. Carllson tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Daniels manages to move to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daniels takes Carllson's back. Daniels working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Daniels working for the choke. Daniels has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Carllson's body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Daniels dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jay Daniels's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Daniels changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carllson tries to avoid it but Daniels manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carllson to the ground. Carllson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Carllson circles away from the clinch attempt and Carllson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daniels drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carllson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Horrible takedown by Carllson or perhaps it was just good defense by Daniels which made him look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carllson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Carllson. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Guy Carllson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Daniels instigates a clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Daniels is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Carllson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Carllson wants a takedown but no success here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Daniels has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Carllson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Carllson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Daniels.
Carllson throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Carllson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Daniels gets tackled into the cage by Carllson. Carllson maintains the clinch. Carllson tries to circle away but Daniels has him pinned against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Carllson jumps guard but Daniels stands there with Carllson around his waist. Carllson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Daniels has hold of one of Carllson's legs. Carllson is fighting the takedown attempt but Daniels gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Carllson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Daniels wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carllson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Carllson is working for a submission of some sort.
Carllson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Carllson seems to be working for a kimura but Daniels defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Guy Carllson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jay Daniels's cut. That's time! Carllson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Daniels is struggling to control the position. Carllson lands a hook to the side of the head. Daniels is trying to break the clinch but Carllson is controlling him. Carllson successfully pulls guard.

Jay Daniels has got the better of the ground game so far. Daniels in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Carllson is looking to stand back up but Daniels counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Carllson. Daniels is looking to stall here but Carllson recovers full guard. Carllson keeping moving, preventing Daniels from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels prevents Carllson from getting back to his feet. Carllson is adopting a defensive guard. Carllson keeping moving, preventing Daniels from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay Daniels was stalling too much, according to the referee. Carllson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Carllson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Daniels drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carllson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Guy Carllson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Daniels closes the distance but Carllson moves to the side and Carllson counters by moving into the clinch. Daniels wants to stall.
And that's the end of the fight! Jay Daniels comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Daniels has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
