The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caffeine looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Torres is in trouble now - Caffeine has advanced to mount!

Caffeine wants to finish this one by submission but Torres is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Caffeine.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Caffeine is landing with some decent strikes but Torres is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Caffeine jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Torres is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Torres and Caffeine has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Caffeine lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Torres down.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Torres decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Caffeine is not content to let Torres control the position.
Caffeine tries to roll over but Torres keeps him under control.
Torres is pressing down on Caffeine's thigh, looking to free his foot. Caffeine is holding on for now.

Torres is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are battling for position here. Caffeine manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Caffeine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Torres doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Torres manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
