Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Gustavsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lala John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John closes the distance and clinches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Gustavsson misses with an elbow strike.
Gustavsson keeps control of John as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gustavsson is fighting off a takedown attempt but John is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gustavsson to the mat. Gustavsson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Gustavsson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. John is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gustavsson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take John's back instead.

That was a close round but I would say that Alexander Gustavsson will probably get the nod.
