Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Cadge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Salas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cadge comes to the cage accompanied by Jaws of Life. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ricky Salas enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathan Cadge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ricky Salas! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Cadge.
Salas defending well as Cadge loads up on a big left hand. Cadge misses with a leg kick and Salas counters with a one-two to the body. A right-left combo lands from Cadge. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Salas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cadge missing with a left hand there. Salas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Cadge looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Salas is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cadge scores with a couple of nice shots. Cadge seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Salas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cadge prevents Salas from improving his position. Cadge working the head and body with strikes. Salas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cadge's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cadge's back! Salas is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Cadge defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Cadge trying to control but not successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cadge tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Cadge is looking to improve his position but Salas isn't that keen on the idea. Cadge regains half guard. Cadge preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Salas is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cadge wants to control but Salas is keeping busy and won't allow it. Salas wants to stand but Cadge has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Well, if Salas is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Salas is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cadge is looking for a sweep. Salas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Salas wants to stand up but Cadge has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cadge manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cadge tries to land a sweep but no joy. Salas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cadge seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Salas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cadge is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cadge has Salas pulled in close to control his posture. Cadge looking for a sweep. Not yet Cadge, not yet. Cadge is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Cadge trying to control the action but Salas is working from the bottom. Cadge working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cadge trying to control the action but Salas is working from the bottom. Cadge throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cadge not landing any meaningful shots this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathan Cadge dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Salas tries to clinch up but Cadge circles away and keeps his distance. Cadge looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Salas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cadge but Cadge pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cadge connects with the punch. Salas wants to clinch. Cadge keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cadge throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cadge fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Salas avoids it really well and circles away. Nathan Cadge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salas fails with a takedown attempt. Nathan Cadge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Salas. Salas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cadge pinned against the cage. Cadge gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cadge misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cadge catches Salas with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Salas ducks under a wild hook from Cadge. Salas slips under a jab. Cadge misses with a hook. Salas ducked under it nicely. Cadge drives through with a takedown into Salas's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Cadge trying to control but Salas is working from the bottom. Salas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Cadge trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cadge postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cadge has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cadge postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cadge slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The strikes coming from Cadge are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Salas is trying to get back to his feet. Cadge is looking to take a break and control but Salas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cadge scores with punches from side control. Cadge landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Cadge working the ground and pound. Cadge cracks Salas with a big elbow. Cadge trying to control the action but Salas is working from the bottom. Cadge working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cadge advances to mount. Cadge takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Cadge raining down shots from the mount! Cadge trying to control but Salas is having none of it. Cadge loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Salas scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Cadge land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Cadge stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nathan Cadge! In his post fight interview, Nathan Cadge gave a big smile as he said 'RAWR!!!!!!!!!!!!!'.
