Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Cosixen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hettie Kate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kate has chosen Peanuts Theme as his entrance music. The key to victory for Sergei Cosixen has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kate fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cosixen throws a right and a left that Kate avoids nicely.
Kate looks to land a body kick but Cosixen moved away.
Kate is looking to clinch.
Cosixen swats away the attempt to clinch by Kate.
Cosixen connects with a jab.
Cosixen scores with a three punch combo!
Kate closes the distance but Cosixen moves to the side
and Cosixen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kate thinking.
Cosixen just misses with a punch to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kate looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cosixen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kate closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Cosixen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kate manages to avoid it.
Cosixen on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kate. Kate obviously looking to wear him down.
Cosixen takes a swing at Kate's ribcage but misses.
Cosixen lands a nice shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cosixen clobbers Kate with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Cosixen connects with a right hand. Kate shakes it off.
Cosixen circles away from the clinch attempt
and Cosixen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kate wants to clinch but Cosixen slips to the side
and Cosixen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Cosixen counters with a left to the body.
Cosixen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kate tries to close the distance and clinch but Cosixen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kate ducks under a wild hook from Cosixen.
Kate tries to clinch there but Cosixen circles away.
Kate is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kate wants to clinch up but Cosixen keeps it at a distance.
Kate throws a sloppy head kick and Cosixen moves out of range easily.

and Cosixen counters with a good low kick that Kate was not able to check.
Cosixen dips to his left and cracks Kate with an uppercut!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kate tries to clinch but Cosixen moves out of range.

and Cosixen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cosixen. Kate does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kate walks into a stiff left hand from Cosixen.

and Cosixen counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Kate down! Cosixen is looking to finish but Kate is intelligently defending himself.

Kate is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cosixen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Cosixen manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kate can do anything to dispel that myth.
