Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Rosas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JJ Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rosas fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Matthews closes the distance but Rosas moves to the side and Rosas counters with a solid body kick. Rosas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Rosas staying calm. Rosas trying to control the position but Matthews is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matthews sneaks out the side door and pushes Rosas away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The fight stays on the outside here - Matthews looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Matthews fails to land the takedown. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rosas misses with a jab, cross combination.

Rosas is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Matthews is surviving well by controlling Rosas's body position as best he can. Rosas stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Rosas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Matthews but Matthews pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rosas shoots in looking for a takedown. Matthews tries to sprawl out of it but Rosas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Matthews manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Matthews clinches up against the cage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matthews lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rosas! Rosas wants to hold on but Matthews pushes him away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Matthews prevents Rosas from getting the reversal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosas is squirming around, avoiding Matthews's attempts to control the action. Rosas is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Matthews tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rosas is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rosas is working hard here to advance position. Rosas sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Rosas looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rosas is not content to let Matthews control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosas kicks off Matthews and gets to his feet. Rosas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nice sprawl there from Matthews as Rosas shoots in. Matthews wants to clinch and Rosas counters with a shoot takedown. Matthews fights it but they end up in guard. Rosas trying to control the position from guard on top but Matthews is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Matthews pulls Rosas in close to prevent any damage. Matthews is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matthews passes to full mount! Matthews controlling his opponent. Rosas is trying desperately to improve position. JJ Matthews has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rosas tries to lock up and control but Matthews gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Adrian Rosas showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rosas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
