Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Omaha Steak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blade Snatcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Omaha Steak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blade Snatcher! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steak lands with a cross. Steak doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Steak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Snatcher paws at him with a jab and circles away. Steak moves out of range as Snatcher throws a body kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Steak darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A head kick misses from Snatcher. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Steak shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Snatcher is trying to defend but Steak finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Snatcher trying to control but Steak postures up.
Snatcher is looking to get back to is feet but Steak passes into side control.
Steak has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Steak moves out of range of the body kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steak avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Blade Snatcher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Steak lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Snatcher misses the shot to the body. Snatcher looks gassed! Snatcher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Steak circles away quickly and effectively. Steak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Snatcher working a defensive guard but Steak manages to pass into side control anyway.
Steak decides to stand up, so the ref orders Snatcher to his feet. Steak clinches up with Snatcher and pushes him back against the cage. Snatcher is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Steak is defending well for now. Steak prevents Snatcher from breaking the clinch. Snatcher tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Steak avoids it. Snatcher trying to land knees to the body.

A frustrated look appears on Snatcher's face as he tries to break the clinch. Snatcher has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Steak manages to break the clinch.
Snatcher throws a push kick but Steak slaps the foot to one side. Steak moves into range and clinches up with Snatcher. Steak keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Snatcher's efforts to push away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Steak gets a double leg takedown into Snatcher's guard. Steak gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Snatcher misses with a body kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Omaha Steak dominated that round. That's time! Steak's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Snatcher is trying to force a seperation but Steak has the dominant position. Snatcher gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Snatcher tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Steak avoids it. Steak blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Snatcher has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Steak managing to block the knees to the body from Snatcher.
