And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hood misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Derka.
Derka has his takedown stuffed
and Hood counters with a three punch combo that has Derka backing up. Derka nods at Hood to acknowledge the strikes.
Hood moves in looking to clinch but Derka pushes him off.
A punch combination from Hood misses.
Derka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hood counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Derka is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hood misses with a double jab.
Derka tries for a takedown but Hood circles away easily
and Hood counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Derka Derka has been cut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derka Derka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oooooh!!! Hood has knocked Derka down with a huge combo! Hood steps away and waves a wobbly Derka back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Hood is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Derka is rocked!
Derka Derka's cut is getting worse.
Hood scoring well with a low kick there.
Hood moves into the clinch.
Hood manages to break the clinch.
No joy there for Derka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Derka misses with a takedown attempt
and Hood counters with a big right hook, that lands right on the temple! Derka goes down! Hood rushes to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. This one's going to be close! 3,4,5,6,7... Derka is up to one knee.... 8,9.... He's up! The referee says he's good to go, so we're back to the action!
Oh Derka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hood feints and then cracks Derka's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Derka down.
Hood weaves into range and cracks Derka right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Derka goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Hood is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gordon Hood!
Gordon Hood bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
