Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cristian Dido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dido comes into the arena with cult of personalty blaring out of the sound system. Dido has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cristian Dido! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dido slaps away a takedown attempt from Ortiz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dido is breathing heavily. Dido keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ortiz has Dido up against the cage in a clinch.
Dido is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ortiz pulls him back up using the underhooks. Dido gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ortiz.
Cristian Dido has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Ortiz. Ortiz is working for takedown but Dido is calmly controlling the position for now.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Ortiz. Ortiz lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A nice glancing elbow lands by Ortiz. Ortiz tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ortiz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ortiz scores with a hook to the body. Dido takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Ortiz throws a nice outside leg kick. Ortiz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dido manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ortiz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ortiz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dido works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ortiz passes Dido's left leg - he's now in half guard. Dido really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dido wants to improve his position but Ortiz is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ortiz lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Ortiz looking to ground and pound but Dido is blocking nicely. Ortiz controlling from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dido knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ortiz on the ground. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ortiz thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ortiz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ortiz pulls Dido in close to prevent any damage. Ortiz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's one minute gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Ortiz. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ortiz has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dido's face.
Ortiz breaks from Dido's wrist control and lands an elbow. Ortiz sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Ortiz is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dido can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ortiz tightening his grip on Dido, looking for the choke. Ortiz is riding his opponent, not letting Dido buck him off. Ortiz is hanging on to Dido's back as he tries to escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ortiz lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Dido hold on?!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ortiz controls the position. Ortiz is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Dido knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Dido for a finish. Dido is trying to break free.

Good control from Ortiz. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dido covering up well and avoiding damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ortiz lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Ortiz.

Mike Ortiz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Ortiz has his hands on Dido's head, controlling the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Dido wants to stand but Ortiz has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mike Ortiz wasn't active enough on the ground. Ortiz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dido tries to avoid it but Ortiz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dido to the ground. Dido escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dido takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ortiz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dido circles away. Sloppy strikes from Dido. Those never looked like landing. Cristian Dido is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dido throws a nice looking combination but Ortiz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ortiz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dido sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ortiz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dido swivels and escapes. Dido lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ortiz circles away quickly and effectively. Dido misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ortiz drives through and clinches with Dido against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight! Mike Ortiz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ortiz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
