Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quik Yin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Purity by Slipknot. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sam Williams was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quik Yin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Williams! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Williams. Yin shoots in and bounces Williams off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Yin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Yin looking to pass the guard. Williams wants to sweep but no luck. Yin trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Williams trying to keep a closed guard but Yin is proving a slippery customer.
Yin wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. Yin is looking to work some ground and pound but Williams has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yin sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Yin shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Yin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Williams misses with an uppercut. Williams lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Williams throws the left hand but Yin avoids the punch easily. Williams throws a head kick that misses. Yin shoots in and drives through. Williams sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quik Yin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yin clinches up with Williams and pushes him back against the cage. Yin jumps guard but Williams stands there with Yin around his waist. Yin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Yin manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Yin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Yin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Yin trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Yin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Williams is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Yin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Williams's back instead. Yin is hanging on to Williams's back as he tries to escape.
Williams covering up well under a series of strikes from Yin. Williams trying to control the hands but Yin breaks the grip. Yin working for the choke. Williams breaks Yin's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Yin is breathing heavily. Williams advances position into side control! Williams in side control lands a decent elbow. Yin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Williams wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Yin manages to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Quik Yin will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Williams has escaped and now he's on top! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Williams trying to control but Yin is working from the bottom. Williams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yin is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Yin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Williams is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Yin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Williams's back instead. Williams is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Yin has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Williams has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Yin wants to control but Williams is keeping busy. Yin is trying to stick to Williams's back but Williams is turning into Yin. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Yin's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Williams. Yin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there. Williams cracks Yin with a solid left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Yin is retaining full guard. Williams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Yin's head. Williams stopping the sweep attempt from Yin.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Yin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Williams's guard. Williams is trying to keep Yin in close.

Williams keeping moving, preventing Yin from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Yin won't allow Williams to sweep him here. Yin wants to pass the guard but Williams is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Williams throws a hook but Yin avoids it easily. Yin moves forwards but Williams connects with a nice, crisp jab. Yin takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Yin looks to move to half guard but instead Williams has passed into mount! Damn! Williams tries to control but Yin wriggling away. Yin is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams trying to control but Yin is having none of it. Yin bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Williams looking for a sweep. Not yet Williams, not yet. Williams is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Yin throwing strikes but missing. Yin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Williams manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Yin has Williams in his guard. Yin looking for a sweep. Not yet Yin, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Yin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williams preventing the sweep. Williams drops back looking for a leg! Yin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Yin manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Yin's guard. Yin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quik Yin. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Yin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
