Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffery Shannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Boater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shannon's entrance music is Don't Tread On Me - Metallica. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeffery Shannon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stephan Boater! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shannon dives in and grabs Boater's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boater pushes down on Shannon's head and hops out. The fight stays on the outside here - Shannon looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Boater bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Shannon parries the strikes from Boater easily there. Boater is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Shannon to escape.
Boater advances nicely into full mount. Boater controlling the pace for now. Boater prevents Shannon from getting the reversal. Boater is in the full mount, landing strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shannon is desperately trying to improve his position but Boater has a good base and remains in mount. Shannon is working hard here to advance position. Boater really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shannon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boater raining down hammerfists from mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boater lands a nice shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shannon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boater controlling from the full mount. Boater pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Boater avoids the attempt from Shannon to control. Shannon is trying desperately to improve position. Boater lands with some strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boater working the ground and pound effectively.
Shannon is in a horrible position here. Boater smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Shannon slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Shannon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Boater working the head and body with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boater is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Shannon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boater. Boater controlling the action here. Shannon wants to improve his position but Boater is controlling well.
Boater seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shannon actively working from the bottom here. Boater is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stephan Boater dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Shannon doesn't succeed with the takedown and Boater counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Shannon's guard now. Boater advances position into side control! Boater taking a breather here. Let's hope that Boater has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Shannon is trying to control Boater's posture but Boater avoids it. Boater controlling the position from side mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boater working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boater working the ground and pound. Boater in side control, just content to control the action for now. You can see the frustration on Shannon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Boater controls the position from side control. Check out the look on Boater's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Stephan Boater has got the better of the ground game so far. Boater tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shannon misses with an elbow from the bottom. Shannon tries to improve position but can't. Boater in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Shannon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boater wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Shannon is trying to buck Boater off. Boater working the ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shannon is trying to control Boater's posture but Boater avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shannon is letting Boater control him for a moment. Shannon is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Boater is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Boater scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Shannon?
Shannon manages to regain half guard. Good work. Boater postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Shannon to stand up. Boater lands a nice looking body shot.
Boater wants to clinch. Jeffery Shannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shannon misses with the combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shannon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boater manages to avoid it. Boater moves into the clinch successfully.
Shannon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Boater has him pressed against the cage. Boater drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Shannon gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Shannon tries to break the clinch but Boater is controlling the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boater tries to throw a body punch but Shannon avoids it by throwing Boater back against the cage. Boater has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Shannon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Boater breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shannon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boater sprawls well. Boater wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shannon gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stephan Boater showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Boater fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Shannon to the ground. Boater is now in Shannon's guard. Boater working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Shannon's head. Boater throws a big right hand that misses. Boater wants to get up but he can't break Shannon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Shannon has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Boater should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Shannon has tightened it up now! Boater should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jeffery Shannon! A less than humble Jeffery Shannon misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
