Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pvt. Mullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiyoshi Tamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mullen and Kiyoshi Tamura. The crowd seem to be enjoying Tamura's choice of entrance music: Teriyaki boyz - Tokyo drift. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pvt. Mullen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kiyoshi Tamura! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mullen with a hook. Tamura misses with a series of wild punches.

Mullen moves into the clinch. Mullen lands with a right to the head. Tamura fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Mullen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tamura, pushing him back against the cage. Tamura tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mullen just stands there and leans against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Mullen.
It looks like Kiyoshi Tamura has been cut. Mullen trying to land knees to the body.

Tamura swings for the body but Mullen moves out of range.
Mullen lands with an overhand left. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tamura scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Pvt. Mullen has been cut. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Mullen. Tamura shrugs it off though. Tamura uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mullen. Tamura gets tackled into the cage by Mullen. Mullen maintains the clinch. Mullen lands with a right to the head. Tamura fails to pull guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice elbow from Mullen. Tamura tries to pull guard but Mullen won't allow it.
Mullen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tamura on the wrong end of a nice hook. Tamura misses with a hook. Tamura will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A jab from Mullen misses. Tamura scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Mullen bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Mullen moves into the clinch. Tamura fails to pull guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mullen. Tamura is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mullen to keep the fight standing. Tamura tries to pull guard but Mullen holds him up against the cage and eventually Tamura drops back down to his feet.

Mullen lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mullen lands a left hand.
Tamura tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mullen smiles and moves away.

Pvt. Mullen dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Tamura throws a big shot that misses. Tamura tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Mullen throws a chopping leg kick but Tamura manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A bone on bone clash there as Tamura blocks the leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mullen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A punch lands to the side of Mullen 's head but he takes it in his stride. Mullen cracks Tamura with a right hand to the side of the head. Tamura takes one to the side of the head.
Pvt. Mullen is winning the standup battle so far. Mullen throws a body kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mullen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Tamura throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mullen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Tamura is trying to pull guard but Mullen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Tamura tries to pull guard but Mullen won't allow it.
Mullen gets through Tamura's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Mullen lands a left hand.

Mullen scores with a hook to the body. Tamura jumps guard and drags Mullen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Tamura is breathing heavily. Mullen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Tamura is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mullen defends well. Tamura keeping full guard, as Mullen tries to pass. Tamura pushes a forearm under Mullen's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Mullen is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
