PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anabol Asteroid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Teppo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asteroid comes to the cage accompanied by Asteroid. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Anabol Asteroid!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matti Teppo!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teppo tries a head kick but it misses.
Asteroid tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Teppo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Teppo throws a lazy head kick
and Asteroid counters with a head kick.
Teppo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Asteroid getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Teppo fails to land with a series of punches.
Asteroid looks to land a right hand but Teppo moved out of range.
Teppo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Asteroid's head backwards.
Teppo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Asteroid avoids the head kick by Teppo.
Asteroid throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Asteroid will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Teppo throws a nice looking combination but Asteroid bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Teppo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Asteroid as he avoids it easily.
Teppo dives in and grabs Asteroid's left leg, looking for a takedown. Asteroid pushes down on Teppo's head and hops out.
Anabol Asteroid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matti Teppo.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Teppo throws a head kick that Asteroid semi-blocks.

Asteroid lands a left and a right that send Teppo crashing to the mat, dazed. Asteroid thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Teppo is rocked!
Asteroid throws an overhand right that drops Teppo like a sack of potatoes! Asteroid dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anabol Asteroid!
Anabol Asteroid retains his middleweight title!
In his post fight interview, Anabol Asteroid started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
