Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sal Manella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scot Sloan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Manella might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Egg. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sal Manella!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Scot Sloan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloan throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Sal Manella has been cut.
Manella scores with a body shot.
Sloan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Manella lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sloan misses with a low kick.
Manella fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sloan.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Manella avoids the head kick by Sloan.
Manella scores with a leg kick.
Sloan looks gassed!
Manella swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Manella lands with a shot to the body.
Manella wants to clinch up but Sloan keeps it at a distance.
Sloan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Manella lands with a kick to the ribs.
Sloan moves out of range of the body kick.
Sloan takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Manella throws a push kick but Sloan slaps the foot to one side.
Manella looks for the body kick but Sloan saw that one coming.
Sloan keeps the fight on the outside.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A decent looking cross lands there for Manella.
Manella scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Sloan is rocked!
It looks like Scot Sloan has been cut.
Scot Sloan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manella finds Sloan's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Sloan flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Manella lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Sloan will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sal Manella!
Sal Manella retains his lightweight title!
Sal Manella really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that [WAO]MADE IN GERMANY logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
