Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nyyrikki Kaiho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anthony Desperado!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Desperado catches Kaiho right on the button with a cross.
Kaiho keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kaiho misses with a hook. Desperado ducked under it nicely.
Desperado getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Kaiho steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Desperado.
Desperado tries a head kick but it misses.
Kaiho thows a body shot but no joy.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kaiho checks a leg kick.
Desperado swings for the body but Kaiho moves out of range.
Desperado uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kaiho has time to react.
Desperado lands a nice shot that snaps Kaiho's head back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A slow jab from Desperado misses its intended target.
Desperado throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kaiho jabs at Desperado's body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Desperado, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kaiho circles away from the clinch attempt.
Desperado connects with a jab.
Kaiho is rocked!
Desperado misses with an uppercut. Kaiho saw that one coming.
Oh Kaiho is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Desperado misses with a hook
and Kaiho counters with a stiff right hand.
Desperado uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kaiho.
Desperado tries to clinch but Kaiho is having none of it.
Desperado lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Kaiho is looking to close the distance but Desperado sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Kaiho crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Kaiho is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Anthony Desperado!
