Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wells shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Michaels but Michaels pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wells shoots in looking for a takedown. Michaels tries to sprawl out of it but Wells keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Michaels manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

so Michaels counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Wells escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Michaels gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Michaels postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Wells covers up, he's hurt! Michaels keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Michaels and the ref steps in to end the fight! Michaels can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joey Michaels!
