Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cronus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Never Thought About Going Back. Earl Simmons told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earl Simmons!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons lands a slapping body shot.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Simmons pinned against the cage. Simmons gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A left lands for Simmons.
Simmons stuffs the takedown.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Simmons as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cronus Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Simmons rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Simmons lands with a shot to the body.
Simmons swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones fails with the takedown.
Earl Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simmons tries to land a leg kick but Jones saw it coming and moves away.
Simmons misses with the combination.
Simmons throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Simmons lands a jab-cross combination.
Simmons stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Jones is rocked!
Simmons lands with a right that hurts Jones. Jones looks to clinch but Simmons throws a short knee that drops Jones. This one is all over!
