Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Baumgartner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baumgartner comes to the cage accompanied by Knock you out. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Baumgartner paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Baumgartner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boyka avoids it really well and circles away.

Boyka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baumgartner defends it nicely.

Boyka stands and steps away. Baumgartner gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baumgartner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Boyka shoots in looking for a takedown but Baumgartner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boyka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boyka throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Boyka lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Robert Baumgartner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Boyka or perhaps it was just good defense by Baumgartner which made him look bad.
A looping hook to the body misses from Baumgartner. Boyka does a little dance to reset his feet.
Baumgartner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Baumgartner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Boyka shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Baumgartner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Boyka wants to control from the top but Baumgartner keeps moving.

Boyka postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Baumgartner is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boyka, into his guard.
Boyka has control of Baumgartner's left arm, preventing Baumgartner from doing any damage.

Boyka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
