Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Falcon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Maeda!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcon scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Falcon lands with a straight right. Maeda didn't see that one coming.
Falcon misses with a wild combination.
A slow jab from Falcon misses its intended target.
A shot to the liver by Falcon. Beautiful body shot.
Falcon throws a series of strikes that have Maeda backpedaling.
Falcon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Falcon will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Falcon throws the left hand but Maeda avoids the punch easily.
Maeda takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Falcon thows a leg kick but Maeda checks it
and Maeda counters with a nice low kick that buckles Falcon's knee momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Falcon lands a jab to the nose.
That kick from Maeda tenderised Falcon's leg. Falcon is trying to keep his angry face on.
Maeda tries to close the distance and clinch but Falcon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Falcon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A solid leg kick lands there for Maeda.
Falcon looks to score with a jab to the body but Maeda is just out of range.
Falcon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Adam Falcon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maeda takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Falcon lands a jab-cross combination.
Maeda misses with a head kick.
Falcon misses with a wild body shot.
Maeda misses with a low kick.
Maeda connects with a leg kick. Falcon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Falcon lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maeda has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maeda and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Falcon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Falcon is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Falcon throws an off balance right hand
and Maeda counters with a nice low kick that buckles Falcon's knee momentarily.
Falcon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Maeda throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Falcon moves out of range of the body kick.
Falcon avoids a kick to the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Maeda.
Maeda connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Falcon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Maeda. Maeda obviously looking to wear him down.
Maeda lands a big head kick that sends Falcon tumbling to the mat! Maeda takes a step backwards and waves Falcon back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Falcon is rocked!
It looks like Adam Falcon has been cut.
Maeda throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Oh Falcon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maeda lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Falcon crumples to the floor! Maeda milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Akira Maeda!
