Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Leis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Kildahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leis's entrance music is No Sleep - Wiz Khalifa. A fine choice. Kildahl has chosen dont get up as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Kildahl wants to get back to full guard. Leis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kildahl's head. Nice strikes from Leis there. Leis is trying to work for a kimura but Kildahl is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kildahl looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kildahl wants to get back to full guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Leis connects with a nice short shot to Kildahl's temple. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kildahl is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kildahl makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kildahl.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leis trying to control the position from guard on top but Kildahl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Leis is looking to work some ground and pound but Kildahl has wrist control. Kildahl wants to sweep but no luck. Leis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Leis throws and elbow that misses. Kildahl uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Leis's guard. Nice move by Kildahl! Leis wants to sweep here but Kildahl controlling him for the moment. Kildahl in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kildahl stopping the sweep attempt from Leis. Leis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kildahl can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Leis throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kildahl wants to control from the top but Leis keeps moving. Kildahl advances position into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kildahl working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Leis is trying to work for a sweep but Kildahl has mounted him! Kildahl throwing strikes but Leis bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. Leis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Leis trying to control but Kildahl is working from the bottom. Leis throwing strikes from guard but Kildahl blocks nicely. Leis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kildahl working a defensive guard here.
Kildahl wants to sweep here but Leis controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kildahl lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Leis! Leis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kildahl scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Leis tries to hold on but Kildahl postures up. Kildahl goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Leis is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse Leis dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kildahl closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kildahl lands in his opponent's guard. Leis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kildahl can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Leis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! Leis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kildahl is looking to escape. Leis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kildahl looks a forlorn figure.
Leis postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Kildahl in real trouble here! The ref calls for Kildahl to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
