Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leg Sweeperton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Alvarado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sweeperton's entrance music is Bas Beats. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Leg Sweeperton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Alvarado!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweeperton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alvarado was well out of range. Poor timing from Sweeperton.
Alvarado keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Alvarado leaves Sweeperton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Donk. Alvarado catches Sweeperton right on the button with a cross.
Sweeperton misses the shot to the body.
No joy there for Alvarado, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alvarado throws out a leg kick but Sweeperton moves out of range and Alvarado only half commits.
Max Alvarado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sweeperton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alvarado.
Sweeperton wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Sweeperton closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Alvarado quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Sweeperton misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Sweeperton tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Alvarado really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sweeperton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sweeperton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alvarado keeps working.

Sweeperton tries to advance to mount but Alvarado denies him.
Alvarado seems a little lost for a moment, as Sweeperton dominates the positioning.

Sweeperton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alvarado parries the strikes from Sweeperton easily there. Sweeperton is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Alvarado to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sweeperton is defended easily by Alvarado.
Alvarado throws a shot from downtown. Sweeperton moves away and avoids it.

Alvarado stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sweeperton walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Alvarado lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sweeperton avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Sweeperton seems to be looking for submissions.

Sweeperton is working for a kimura but Alvarado is defending it quite comfortably.
Sweeperton wants to control but Alvarado is keeping him busy.

Alvarado is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Max Alvarado showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sweeperton is looking to take a break and control but Alvarado is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sweeperton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sweeperton passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Alvarado!

Alvarado wants to get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alvarado can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sweeperton has control of Alvarado's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Alvarado regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Alvarado is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Alvarado is squirming around, avoiding Sweeperton's attempts to control the action.

Sweeperton working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Sweeperton tries to control but Alvarado wriggling away.

Leg Sweeperton showed his dominance in that final round.

Leg Sweeperton tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
