Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mr Pearl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pearl comes to the cage accompanied by yes. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hudson's choice of entrance music: Roll Over DJ. Gary Hudson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Hudson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearl closes the distance and clinches up with Hudson, looking for a takedown. Pearl pushes Hudson against the cage but Hudson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hudson darts in and clinches Pearl up against the cage.
Hudson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pearl gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Pearl throws a punch but it's blocked by Hudson.
Hudson gets underhooks to prevent Pearl's takedown attempt.
Pearl wants to take the fight to the mat but Hudson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mr Pearl. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pearl has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hudson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hudson wants the takedown. Pearl is fighting it off but Hudson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pearl's guard against the cage.

Pearl wants to get back to his feet but Hudson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hudson is looking to improve his position but Pearl isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hudson is bucking up trying to escape but Pearl cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Pearl looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Pearl has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hudson's face.
Pearl cracks Hudson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Pearl prevents Hudson from getting the reversal.

Pearl is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hudson is surviving well by controlling Pearl's body position as best he can.
Hudson is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Pearl has taken his back.

Pearl has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Hudson is in real trouble here. Pearl gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Hudson is tapping out! Pearl wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mr Pearl!
Mr Pearl retains his welterweight title!
