Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Hearst Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hogan comes to the cage accompanied by The Game. Mike Green has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Hunter Hearst Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Green!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Green takes one to the side of the head.
Green throws a right hand that misses
and Hogan counters with a straight right hand.
Green shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hogan pinned against the cage. Hogan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hogan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hogan defending well as Green loads up on a big left hand.
Nice takedown defense from Hogan. No joy for Green on that attempt.
Green tests Hogan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Green on the wrong end of a nice hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Green lands with a hook. Hogan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hogan. Green does a little dance to reset his feet.
Green shoots for a takedown but Hogan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hunter Hearst Hogan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Green.
Hogan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Green throws out a loose jab but Hogan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Green shoots in looking for a takedown but Hogan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Green's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hogan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Green throws out the jab.
Mike Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Green tries to keep at a distance but Hogan has taken the fight into the clinch.

Hogan pulls guard effortlessly.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hogan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hogan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Green postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hogan holds on and takes a little breather.
Green must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We're going to have a standup here because Hunter Hearst Hogan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Green throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hogan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hogan wants to control the pace but Green is squirming around nicely.

Green closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Green connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hogan momentarily.

Green gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hogan to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Green is refusing to be controlled, as Hogan sits in half guard.

Hogan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Green does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Green shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hogan as he jumps to the side.

Hogan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Green was covering up waiting for the punch and Hogan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hogan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hogan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Green for as long as he can get away with.

Green wants to control but Hogan is keeping busy.
Hogan wants to take a breather but Green is having none of it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Hunter Hearst Hogan just wasn't active enough.
Green lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hogan leaves Green with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hogan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Green keeps working.

Hunter Hearst Hogan has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Green uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hogan has time to react.

Green gets caught napping as Hogan dives in and scores a takedown. Green manages to retain guard.
Hogan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Green wants to sweep here but Hogan controlling him for the moment.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hogan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
