Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirvonen blocks a head kick by Mbele.
Hirvonen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mbele looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hirvonen throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Mbele managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hirvonen.
Hirvonen tries for a kimura but Mbele is defending well.
Hirvonen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mbele is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mbele is not content to let Hirvonen control the position.
Hirvonen has hold of Mbele's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mbele tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hirvonen cranks the arm and Mbele screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mbele, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Pentti Hirvonen!
