Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karel Gil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Touchin Bungholz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gil kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Papa Roach - Last Resort. 16 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Touchin Bungholz! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gil looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Gil thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gil missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Gil throwing shots but Bungholz is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gil not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gil throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Gil prevents Bungholz from improving his position. Gil working over Bungholz with some ground and pound. Bungholz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Gil working Bungholz over with strikes. Gil is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bungholz is just riding it out for now. Gil eventually gives up the hold. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gil throwing shots but Bungholz is blocking nicely. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gil lands a nice short elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gil lands with a punch from half guard. Gil is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bungholz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gil. Gil is looking to advance position but Bungholz won't allow it. Bungholz wants to get back to full guard. Gil is trying for a kimura here. Bungholz looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Gil wins by kimura!
