Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brock Lesnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Goodridge! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Goodridge counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Goodridge prevents Lesnar from getting back to his feet. Goodridge has gone for a leg lock! Lesnar slips out almost immediately though and dives into Goodridge's guard. Goodridge working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lesnar. Goodridge not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Goodridge pulls Lesnar in close to his closed guard and prevents Lesnar from doing any damage or advancing position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lesnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Goodridge wants to sweep but no luck. Lesnar wants to stand and escape but Goodridge is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goodridge drops back looking for a leg! Lesnar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lesnar manages to kick Goodridge off! Goodridge jumps back into Lesnar's guard. Goodridge thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Goodridge wants to pass the guard but Lesnar is keeping the position. Goodridge drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goodridge jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lesnar is looking to stand up but Goodridge isn't so interested in that idea. Goodridge is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lesnar fails to land the takedown. Goodridge tries to close the distance and clinch but Lesnar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lesnar shoots in looking for a takedown. Goodridge tries to sprawl out of it but Lesnar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Goodridge manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Goodridge stuffs the takedown attempt from Lesnar. Lesnar gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Lesnar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lesnar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Goodridge counters with a nice double leg into guard. Goodridge thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lesnar wants to stand but Goodridge is controlling the position. Goodridge drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Goodridge as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Lesnar screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Goodridge! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Gary Goodridge! Gary Goodridge really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fossington & Blythe: Gentlemen's Fight Attire logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
