Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Bhuda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Heart of a Champion. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Royce Gracie!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammy Bhuda!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Bhuda manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gracie throws out a loose jab but Bhuda uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gracie throws a lazy uppercut
and Bhuda counters with a head kick. That will keep Gracie thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Bhuda avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bhuda scores with a sloppy right hand. Gracie should have avoided that one.
Gracie throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Bhuda counters with a straight right hand.
Gracie has his takedown stuffed
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Gracie throws a shot to the body.
Bhuda swings away with a leg kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bhuda moves away.

Gracie closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bhuda's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Bhuda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie throwing strikes from guard but Bhuda blocks nicely.
Bhuda is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Bhuda is keeping the position.

Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Gracie pushes down on Bhuda's leg and manages to get into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gracie stops Bhuda from getting back to his feet.
Gracie moves nicely into side control.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bhuda keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bhuda takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Bhuda wants to get back to his feet.

Gracie connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bhuda some visible discomfort.
Bhuda takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Bhuda is rocked!
Bhuda takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bhuda is still in real trouble! Can Gracie finish him?
Bhuda is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Gracie in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Bhuda looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Gracie turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Royce Gracie decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
