Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baltazar Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and McGillicuddy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baltazar Ramos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, McGillicuddy Jones!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jones misses with a hook
and Ramos counters with a nice body shot.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ramos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ramos lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand.
Ramos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Decent striking displayed by Ramos there.
Ramos tries to move into range but Jones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jones waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ramos.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ramos looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
Ramos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.

Ramos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jones wants to stand and escape but Ramos is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ramos with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ramos throws an elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ramos's guard. Nice move by Jones!
Ramos can't keep his opponent in guard - Jones advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jones throwing shots but Ramos is blocking nicely.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ramos's head.

Ramos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ramos tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg.
Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Ramos wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Ramos is working hard here to advance position.
Jones is nestled in close to Ramos, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Jones thows a huge punch but Ramos dodges it nicely.
Ramos won't allow Jones to pass to mount.
Ramos regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Jones.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ramos bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.

Ramos postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Ramos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ramos controlling from the top position.
Jones wants to stand up but Ramos is controlling him.
Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ramos won't allow Jones to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ramos throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jones stays in close to Ramos's body and controls the position.
Ramos avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ramos is trying to keep Jones in close.
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but McGillicuddy Jones will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ramos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ramos manages to avoid it.
Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Ramos's shoulder, as Ramos tries to avoid the shot.
Ramos takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Jones lands a left and a right that send Ramos crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Ramos is rocked!
Jones lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Ramos up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Jones from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Ramos's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). McGillicuddy Jones!
