Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Howard Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damarcus Musasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moon comes to the cage accompanied by Heartbeats. Musasi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Collective Soul - Where the River Flows. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Howard Moon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Damarcus Musasi! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Musasi.
Moon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Moon misses with a straight left. Musasi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Moon connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Musasi looks to land a left hand but Moon moved out of range nicely. Musasi blocks a low kick nicely. Moon throws a poor cross that misses
and Musasi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Musasi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Damarcus Musasi has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Musasi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Moon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Musasi - the referee stops the clock and Moon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Musasi. Moon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Howard Moon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moon connects with a looping right hand.
Musasi pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Moon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Musasi. That did some damage! Musasi looks gassed! Moon throws a series of punches but Musasi moves out of range. Moon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Moon moves into the clinch successfully.

Musasi is trying to drag Moon to the mat but Moon just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Musasi misses with some punches.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Moon scores with an uppercut up the middle. Moon tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Musasi's elbow. Moon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Musasi's efforts to push away. Musasi can't find room to land a body shot as Moon controls the action.

Moon works on Musasi's body with a couple of short punches. Moon prevents a body shot from Musasi. Musasi missing with knees to the body.

A short right from Musasi on the inside. Musasi blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Musasi is trying to push Moon away but Moon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Moon lands an uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Musasi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Moon prevents it.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Moon stalling in the clinch.
Moon gets through Musasi's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Moon lands a right hand that snaps the head of Musasi backwards. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Moon creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Musasi is rocked! Moon pushes Musasi against the cage. Moon is working some dirty boxing. Moon pushes off with a quick right hook! Musasi goes down! Musasi tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Moon moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Howard Moon! During a confident post fight interview, Howard Moon thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
