The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kraus gets the takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kraus just content to control the position. Tusk wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Kraus lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tusk down.
Kraus is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Tusk is trying to escape and Kraus transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Tusk is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kraus! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rudolph Kraus!
